Animal agriculture is one of the leading causes of global warming and is responsible for more water pollution, topsoil depletion, deforestation, and wildlife destruction than any other human activity, yet the public as well as many environmentalists still consume animal products without making that connection. Together, we need to educate folks that a diet change is an easy way to help the planet.
With Earth Day fast approaching on April 22nd, there’s numerous opportunities to get the vegan environmental message out to those who will listen. We’ve compiled a list of more than 200 Earth Day events happening across the country in communities like yours. These events are the perfect venue for having these vital conversations and we encourage you to join us!
What kind of event should you sign up for?
Leafleting: Leafleting takes little time and energy yet is highly effective. Find an Earth Day event near you, using the list we have compiled, and register to distribute our brand new handouts there. If you know of an event happening in your community that is not on our list, we welcome you to sign up to do outreach there instead.
Host an Information Table: Tabling at an Earth Day event makes yourself available to the public to discuss the many benefits of a vegan diet and still provide literature. Consider distributing food samples to make an even bigger impression!
Together, we will raise awareness of the environmental benefits of transitioning to a vegan diet!
